Joe Locke has spilt the tea on his mysterious new character from Disney Plus’s Agatha All Along.
On 19 September, Marvel fans will finally be treated to the first two episodes of the highly anticipated series.
Picking up after the events of 2021’s WandaVision, the show follows the villainous spellcaster Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) as she “finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell.”
The synopsis adds: “Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…”
Agatha All Along is also set to feature a bevvy of LGBTQIA+ fan favourites, including Locke as the aforementioned “Teen” character.
Over the last year, rumours have swirled that the Heartstopper actor would be playing Billy Kaplan – also known as Wiccan, the son of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).
However, Marvel has yet to officially confirm the news, resulting in fans continuing to speculate the specifics of his role.
With the premiere of Agatha All Along right around the corner, Locke shared some exciting details about his mysterious new character with Empire Magazine.

“He’s a familiar; he’s like the assistant to the coven. Teen is a big fan of witchcraft and witches, so for him to be taken under Agatha Harkness’ wing and form a coven and go down the Witches’ Road is his dream,” he explained to the news outlet.
“He’s fanboy-esque, and in his element. Which is very fun–– because I was [too]!”
Locke’s recent interview comes a month after Marvel and Disney dropped the first action-packed trailer for Agatha All Along.
In the exciting teaser, it is revealed that Agatha has been doomed to live her own nightmare by the Scarlet Witch in a gritty, detective-style drama.
After meeting a witch called Rio Vidal (Plaza), who helps her break free from the “distorted spell”, we’re introduced to Agatha’s new gang – including “Teen” and Patti LuPone’s new witch Lilia Calderu – as well as several demonic entities.
Plaza’s quintessentially deadpan sense-of-humour is on display in the trailer’s final moments as she confronts a possessed, zombified creature, who subsequently corners a sobbing Wiccan into a corner.
