In another major win for MCU sapphics, Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza *finally* locked lips on Agatha All Along.

Major spoilers ahead.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries concluded with a titillating two-parter on Thursday (31 October), following Hahn’s crooning witch and queero Billy “Teen” Kaplan/Maximoff (Joe Locke) as they continue down, down, down the road, down the Witches’ Road.

In the penultimate episode, Agatha makes a deal with her former lover and enemy Rio Vidal (aka Death) (aka Aubrey Plaza): if she can convince Billy to surrender to Rio, who views his second chance at life as an abomination, then she has to leave Agatha alone forever. (The look of heartbreak on Rio’s face had us bawling.)

After Agatha and Billy conquer the Witches’ Road, Rio launches an attack on a powerless Agatha for failing to fulfil her end of the bargain. Billy subsequently comes to the rescue, infusing Agatha with his magic, resulting in a major smackdown between the sapphic icons.

Ultimately, Agatha chooses to sacrifice herself to save Billy, and does so by landing a passionate smacker on Rio.

As well as praise for the performances of Hahn, Locke and Plaza, the surprisingly emotional themes and twists of the jaw-dropping variety, the episode was lauded for making history with the MCU’s first-ever lesbian kiss. (About! Time!)

Understandably, queers lost their goddamn marbles.

“AGATHARIO KISSED AND THIS SCENE IS SIMULTANEOUSLY THE BEST AND WORST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME,” wrote one fan.

Another tweeted: “The way how Agatha touches Rio’s face and how Rio leaned in to deepen the kiss omfg SOMEBODY SEDATE ME.”

“Nothing says gay explosion like Agatha and Rio finally kissing,” said a third.

The series finale of Agatha All Along is now streaming on Disney Plus – check out the best reactions below.
