Ariana Grande is paying homage to a teen classic in her new music video.

The chart-topping artiste has released a brilliant teaser for her Thank U, Next video that channels iconic 00s comedy Mean Girls, and features some faces that will be very familiar to fans of the film.

“Ariana broke off an engagement, so I found a guy to propose to me and I broke off an engagement,” says Stefanie Drummond, who was “punched in the face” by villain Regina George in the original film.

“Ariana Grande told me my hair looks sexy pushed back… she’s not wrong,” adds Jonathan Bennett, who played Regina’s boyfriend Aaron Samuels – and he somehow looks exactly the same 14 years later.

There’s also an appearance from Aussie singer Troye Sivan, who “heard [Ariana] is a lesbian now”.
