Ariana Grande has criticised Piers Morgan for his complaints about Little Mix’s new video.
The British girl band recently unveiled the body positive video for their anthem Strip, and appeared nude as a form of protest with words such as ‘ugly’, ‘irrelevant’, ‘fat’, ‘stupid’ and ‘talentless’ across their bodies.
On Twitter, Morgan hit out at the band’s video for being similar to a photo shoot by country trio Dixie Chicks, and then called out member Jesy Nelson – who recently called him a “twat” – for looking “ridiculous”.
Shortly after, Ariana’s mother Joan Grande blasted the Good Morning Britain host, saying: “Did you ever hear of paying homage … if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it.”
She also criticised Morgan for his tweets about American icon Ellen DeGeneres, in which he called her a hypocrite for including a slideshow about men’s bodies on her talk show.
Morgan replied: “Ellen’s a hypocrite – and as for Little Mix, I’d just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity. As your own daughter does!”
Ariana then called out Morgan on Twitter, praising Ellen for being an “incredible and kind human being” and proudly admitting to using her “talent and sexuality” because it’s her decision.
“Women can be sexual AND talented,” Ariana told him. “naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice. & we will keep fighting til people understand. i say this w all due respect but thank u, next.”
The singer added: “I look forward to the day you realise there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticise young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do. i think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it.”
The feud continued when Ariana posted a photo of a nude Morgan during a promotional Burger King photo shoot: “when u do it it’s ok tho right?”
Morgan responded: “Now now, young lady – my career’s doing just fine thanks. For the record, I criticise/praise everyone – male, female, gender-fluid.
“Indeed, I’ve written columns praising AND criticising you, and you deserved both.”
He then invited Ariana to appear on Good Morning Britain to continue their debate.

Ellen drooling today over famous men's bodies on #InternationalMensDay2018.
Yet I've been abused all day for complimenting @hollywills on her legs.
The hypocrisy of modern feminism laid bare..

Sultry? She looks ridiculous.
Ask her to put some clothes on (if she has any…) & apologise for calling me a tw*t. https://t.co/i63gXpkJaV— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 20, 2018
Hi Joan, my mother taught me to speak my mind & never be afraid to express honestly held opinion.
Ellen's a hypocrite – and as for Little Mix, I'd just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity.
