Pop provocateur Ashnikko is back with new music and an update on their debut album, Weedkiller.
The singer’s inaugural full-length release delves into a world of fantasy which confronts ecological collapse, and tech warfare within the atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic action film.
Their new single, Weedkiller, is a buzzing insight into her bigger project ambitions.
Speaking on the track Ashnikko says: “This is the song that spawned the whole album. It’s the climax of the album, the epic fight scene in the wasteland. Swords drawn, roots deep into the ground, I have come here to photosynthesize and eliminate the weedkillers. it is a violent fantastical storytelling set in my realm.”
Ashnikko’s debut album will include features from Peruvian experimental Daniela Lalita and American breakout star Ethel Cain.
