WOW Presents Plus has finally revealed details of the long-awaited third season of Drag Race Thailand.
On 14 November, the streamer announced that Pangina Heals will return as the host of the series and that it will premiere in 2024.
Drag Race Thailand originally aired for two seasons between 2018 and 2019. Released to widespread critical acclaim, the series was co-hosted by Pangina and Art Arya and were respectively won by Natalia Pliacam and Angele Anang. The latter made herstory as Drag Race’s first ever trans champion.
In the years since Thailand‘s hiatus, Pangina became the first-ever host to then compete on a series of Drag Race when she sashayed into the Drag Race UK vs the World werkroom. After winning two maxi-challenges, she was controversially eliminated in sixth place by Blu Hydrangea.
News of Drag Race Thailand’s return was accompanied by a teaser of Tongue Thai’d with Pangina Heals season two, which will welcome the following eight guests: Raja, Jaida Essence Hall, Laganja Estranja, Jared Goldstein, Priyanka, Blu Hydrangea, Lady Camden and Sasha Colby.
According to WOW: “As the guests feast on mountains of Thai cuisine, the food and conversation will get spicier and spicier, until logic and reason officially leave the building. Will the guests handle the heat, or will they get out of the kitchen? One thing is for sure, the chat will be scorching hot.”
In a statement, Pangina said: “I am stepping back as a JUDGE into the Drag Race Thailand universe after 4 years! It’s been way too long! I’m just gagging in anticipation for the incredible queens we’re about to meet. I also can’t wait for fans to see the second season of Tongue Thai’d with Xtra Special guests who would have to survive the extra spicy gauntlet this season!”
Tongue Thai’d with Pangina Heals will premiere 4 December on WOW Presents Plus, the official streamer for all-things drag.
Drag Race Thailand will be produced in the Philippines by Fullhouse Asia Production Studios, Inc in conjunction with World of Wonder Productions, Inc. Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell and RuPaul Charles serve as Executive Producers on the series.
