Attention Heartstopper fans! Another exciting sneak peek into the show’s third season has arrived.

On 7 September, the popular streamer marked 26 days until the upcoming season’s world premiere by sharing an adorable new clip of Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke).

In the short teaser, the lovebirds prepare for their impending three-week separation due to Nick’s upcoming Menorca family trip.

“You’ll be in Menorca, and I’ll be stuck here,” Charlie says. “Going to be the longest we’ve spent apart since we first met.”

Wasting no time, Nick cuddles up to Charlie before playfully asking him, “Are you going to miss me?”

“Mmm, maybe a little bit,” Charlie says in response before Nick teases, “A little bit? That’s very, very rude.”

Since its release, fans have flocked to social media to express excitement over the heartwarming clip.

One fan wrote: “Missing Nick and Charlie since last season’s finale!!! October can’t get here fast enough. My heart needs healing.”

Another viewer tweeted: “The way they are so comfortable with each other, I’ve missed them.”

A third fan added: “I just keep rewatching this clip i cannot be stopped.”

Fortunately, we wont have to wait too long for Heartstopper season three, with its premiere set for 3 October.

Picking up where season two left off, the new batch of episodes will follow Charlie as he tries to “tell Nick that he loves him,” while Nick “also has something important to say to Charlie”.

The synopsis adds: “As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realise that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges.

“As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”

As well as Locke and Connor, season three will see the return of Yasmin Finney as Elle, William Gao as Tao, Corinna Brown as Tara, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy, Tobie Donovan as Isaac, Jenny Walser as Tori and Rhea Norwood as Imogen, as well as newcomer Jensen Clayden as Oliver Spring.

Additional cast members include Cormac Hyde-Corrin as Harry, Fisayo Akinade as Nathan, Chetna Pandya as Coach Singh, Bradley Riches as James, Bel Priestly as Naomi, Darragh Hand as Michael Holden, Jonathan Bailey as Jack Maddox, Hayley Atwell as Aunt Diane and Eddie Marian as Geoff.

In a July interview with Entertainment Weekly, Connor spilt some tea about the forthcoming season, describing it as more “mature.”

“We’ve aged it up a little bit. It matures a little bit with the audience and as the characters grow up, you start to see them exploring more adult topics.”

Connor continued to tease: “It gets a bit hotter, raunchier. Yeah, it’s generally just a little bit mature but still the classic Heartstopper love.”
