A judge from the Drag Race franchise has been confirmed as one of the competitors in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
Back in May, Loreen made history when she conquered the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest with her hypnotic pop track ‘Tattoo’, becoming the first woman – and second person overall after Ireland’s Johnny Logan – to win twice.
Due to the ‘Euphoria’ singer’s incredible accomplishment, Sweden was granted the hosting duties for next year’s festivities – which are set to take place in Malmö at the Malmö arena.
This will be the third time the iconic city will host the long-running competition and Sweden’s seventh time.
Over the last few months, new information has slowly emerged regarding the 2024 event, including its first competing act.
On 30 August, the Twitter account for Eurovision revealed that pop talent and Drag Race Belgique judge Mustii would be representing Belgium in the competition.
“The very first artist for #Eurovision 2024 is confirmed… and it’s all because of Belgium. Say hello to Mustii,” they tweeted.
Mustii, a singer and actor, has worked in theatre and television for over a decade and was the recipient of the prestigious Magritte for Best Male Newcomer.
He has released two acclaimed albums: 21st Century Boy, a tribute to his hero David Bowie and The Darkest Night, a powerful collection highlighting mental health.
Shortly after announcing the news, the beloved talent took to his Instagram with a heartwarming statement.

“This is crazy but true! I will have the honor of representing Belgium at 2024 [Eurovision] in Malmö, Sweden,” he wrote.
“I will try to meet this new challenge as intensely as possible while staying authentic and sincere no matter what! Will you be with me?”
Fans also flocked to social media to express their excitement over the singer’s inclusion in Eurovision 2024.
One person wrote: “If Mustii’s Eurovision song is as strong as Skyline I’ll be gagged. Been obsessed with it the last couple of days.”
Another fan tweeted: “YAS Belgium is playing a serious game. Looking forward to a banger.”
The last few months have been very busy for Mustii, who recently completed his first run as a judge on Drag Race Belgique.
The inaugural season, which saw Drag Couenne snatching the crown and title of ‘Belgium’s Next Drag Superstar’, also featured social media influencer Lufy on the judges panel and Canada’s Drag Race star Rita Baga as the show’s host.
All episodes of Drag Race Belgique are now available on WOW Presents Plus in the UK, US, and select territories worldwide.
We can’t wait to see Mustii shine during the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
