Jonathan Bailey is in celebration mode after completing a fundraiser for Just Like Us.
On 18 May, the Bridgerton star announced that he was running the 2024 Wizz Air Hackney half-marathon in support of the UK-based LGBTQIA+ youth charity.
Ahead of the marathon, he told his Instagram followers that Just Like Us are “leading the fight to make them feel understood, accepted and celebrated. A fight we shouldn’t need to have.
“But until we win it, and for the sake of my knees, please throw your love their way, donate to them and sponsor me on my gallop!”
The following day, Bailey updated his followers after completing the half-marathon.
“THANK YOU for your continued knockout donations to @justlikeusuk and to everyone at @hackneymoves for making this a very special day for thousands of people,” he wrote, alongside two post-marathon photos.

Bailey’s comments section were filled with heartwarming responses, including a message from Just Like Us.
“Thank you so much, Jonny! And a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far – you will help change the lives of so many LGBT+ young people,” the organisation wrote.
Bailey’s post comes a few months after he opened up to GAY TIMES about his partnership with the charity, which he said came to fruition after experiencing an “extraordinary shift of years of opportunities and possibilities.”
“I now have a platform by which I can help guide people towards different narratives and causes,” he explained.
“You get a fanbase and it’s almost like a conga line, where you can then lead those people to other stories which feel really important to you. To be able to go from [Bridgerton] to Fellow Travelers and Just Like Us is something I’ll be proud of for the rest of my life.”
