Spooky season is officially here.
Just as Mariah Carey’s iconic All I Want For Christmas Is You has become synonymous with December festivities, Kim Petras has quickly paved the way for herself to become the patron saint of great Halloween music.
Exactly one year after she dropped her incredible Turn Off The Light Volume 1 EP, the pop pioneer has treated fans to a full-length 17-track Halloween project, featuring the original volume and nine brand new tracks.
Sonically, you can expect the same industrial beats and dark-pop synths we heard last year, with some incredible song titles like Bloody Valentine, Death By Sex and Everybody Dies – all accompanied by Kim’s astonishing vocals.
Standouts include Wrong Turn, a pulsating track about ‘meeting the wrong one on the wrong night’; the unsettlingly atmospheric interlude Knives, which will leave you sleeping with one eye open; and There Will Be Blood – if any song deserves to blow your speakers out, it’s this one.
