Problématique, Kim Petras’ lost debut album, has finally been unearthed from the vault.
Inspired by French house music, disco and “Parisian soundscapes”, the 10-track collection was intended to be released as the singer’s debut studio album.
Sadly, Problématique was scrapped after most of the tracks were leaked online last year, and Petras went on to release Feed the Beast instead.
At the time, Petras tweeted: “It’s ok if u wanna listen to the leaks … I’m not getting to put out any music anyways I’m f—ed. I’m devastated idk how all of this happened and I just wanna quit. Nothing is scrapped I didn’t get approval to release anything. It’s limbo.”
A press release describes Problématique as “shimmering with magnetic, laissez-faire confidence” and “euphoric escapist pop”.
The album features a collaboration with Paris Hilton on ‘All She Wants’, as well as previously unreleased fan-favourites ‘Treat Me Like a Ho’ and ‘Born Again’.

Last year, Petras became the first-ever openly trans woman to reach number-one in the US with her feature on Sam Smith’s ‘Unholy’.
She subsequently released Feed the Beast to highly positive reviews.
Led by the Nicki Minaj-assisted collaboration ‘Alone’, the album features ‘Unholy’, hyperpop track ‘Brrr’ and Petras’ iconic titty anthem ‘Coconuts’.
Petras will embark on the Feed the Beast Tour on 27 September.
Following a 22-date North American leg, the star will bring the extravaganza to Europe. Kicking off on 13 February 2024 in Birmingham, the tour will visit Glasgow, Manchester, London, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam, Berlin, Warsaw, Munich and Milan.
“The UK and rest of Europe holds a very special place in my heart. I know it has been a fewyears since my last tour – I’ve missed you!” she said in a statement. “I’m so excited to bring you my biggest show yet. Let’s go all out and have the best time ever. I cannot wait to be back!”
