Kylie Minogue has finally released ‘Tension’, the title track from her highly anticipated 16th studio album.

The new single is a euphoric anthem in which Kylie sings about needing her lover to break the tension between the two of them.

“Oh my God, touch me right there / Almost there, touch me right there / Don’t be shy, boy, I don’t bite / You know where / Touch me right there,” she sings on the chorus, which is sure to be a hit in clubs all over the world.

Its video, which was directed by Sophie Muller, sees the ‘Supernova’ singer take on a number of different identities as she navigates a futuristic world.

Fans have taken to social media to share their love for ‘Tension’ after its release.

“If you want me to stop playing ‘Tension’ by Kylie Minogue you’re going to have to sedate me,” one warned.

Another said: “‘Tension’ sounds like Girls Aloud at their most cutting edge but with the campy dancefloor edge of a veteran pop diva like Kylie. SOTY.”

“The Kylie ‘Tension’ video is so perfectly weird and late 00s/early 10s I’m obsessed, like you could do this exact video for speakerphone,” a third fan added.

The new single serves as the long-awaited follow up to Kylie’s smash hit ‘Padam Padam’, which experienced global success following its release in May.

It spent 14 weeks on the Official Singles Chart in the UK, four of which were in the Top 10 where it peaked at number eight.
