Miami Beach Pride is back with one of its fiercest line-ups to date in what is sure to be a celebration like no other.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Miami Beach Pride, which started as a small parade down Ocean Drive and has since transformed into more than two weeks of events honouring the LGBTQ+ community.
“With over 16 days of exciting events, there is truly something for everyone and we have maintained our commitment to keep much of our programming free for the community to be as inclusive as possible,” said Bruce Horwich, Miami Beach Pride Chairman. “Growing from a 15,000-person event in 2009 to now being one of the most celebrated Prides in the country with more than 170,000 attendees from all over the world, our goal is to honour our community all while having the message of unwavering resilience and uniqueness on full display along Miami Beach.”
This year’s festivities include lavish floats, a queer art showcase designed to support local artists, celebrity guests of honour and live performances – all of which will be amplified on the GAY TIMES website and social channels as it was previously announced that we will be the Official International Media Partner of Miami Beach Pride 2023.

Who is performing at Miami Beach Pride this year?
The bulk of performances will take place on the AT&T Entertainment Stage across the weekend of 15 and 16 April. Community is at the core of this year’s events, so Miami Beach Pride has made both days free for members of the public to attend.

What can I expect from this year’s Pride Parade?
Presented by CAN Community Health, this year’s Pride Parade is set to see thousands march in solidarity along Ocean Drive and showcases how Miami Beach Pride stands for unity. Starting at 12pm on 16 April, organisations, charities and chosen partners will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community as they walk alongside floats, drag performers and cheerleaders. Directly after the Parade, attendees can enjoy an array of performances at the AT&T Entertainment Stage from 2pm.
What are some of the most highly anticipated events?
As well as the aforementioned Festival and Parade, there are a number of events and activations that are a must for anyone in attendance. The Social Justice, Health and Wellness Evening, which will take place at O Cinema on 12 April, serves as a chance to have an open and educational conversation as Florida’s LGBTQ+ community is subjected to an increasing number of legislative attacks, such as the infamous ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill which was signed into law in March 2022.
There will also be an Easter Family Picnic on 8 April at Pride Park, which is free for members of the public to attend and will feature an array of activities for children, such as face painting to games and activities.
For those wishing to support South Florida’s LGBTQ+ artists, Moxy South Beach will be hosting a Queer Art Showcase on 10 April at 6:30pm. It will feature photography, paintings, sculptures and poetry and is free to attend, though requires an RSVP. All proceeds of art sales at the event will go directly to the artist.
Other events, such as the Pride Movie Night and Angel’s Dinner, offer LGBTQ+ people in Miami a chance to meet other members of the community in a more intimate setting which is accessible to all.

Most of this year’s Miami Beach Pride events are free to the public, though some are paid for and others require an RSVP in order to manage the number of people in attendance.
