Mind the gap! The best photos from No Pants Subway Ride 2018

No Pants Subway Ride is an annual event where people ride the subway with no pants on.

Of course, that’s the American definition of pants (it’s known as No Trousers Tube Ride in the UK), so people don’t actually walk around with their lower half exposed, but it’s still a glorious sight nonetheless.

Despite the winter chill, thousands of people from around the world took part in the modern tradition on Sunday, with New Yorkers in particular braving bitterly cold temperatures as low as -8°C.

“The mission started as a small prank with seven guys and has grown into an international celebration of silliness, with dozens of cities around the world participating each year,” explained Improv Everywhere, who organise the event.
