This article — like Netflix UK — reveals the winner of All Stars 5, so don’t read on if you don’t already know.
Imagine the scene, you’re settling down to watch the finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 5. It’s the top three that was widely expected, and all three are mighty competitors.
You might be a little confident that Shea Coulee will snatch the crown, given that she’s been fierce all season long. However, Miz Cracker has the better track record and could easily grab it. But, you can’t count out Jujubee, especially when it comes to a final lip-sync.
Well, viewers on Netflix UK didn’t have to wait long to find out which of the three competitors won, as the loading screen literally featured Shea Coulee holding the sceptre after her crowning.
We’re imagining that when All Stars 3 makes it way to the streaming giant, one of the video thumbnails will feature DeLa holding her lipstick.
Despite the annoyance that the situation brought, people did find some humour in it: “Netflix using a picture of the All Stars 5 winner with the sceptre as the screencap for the finale episode is just peak 2020 ahahah you couldn’t write it,” wrote Jack Remmington.
While Manchester Pride’s marketing manager, Holly Shortall wrote: “If you’ve avoided #AllStars5 spoilers thus far, you need to approach Netflix with caution as whatever straight intern set the thumbnail for the episode used an image of the winning queen with their sceptre.”
Thankfully, we can report that the issue has now been fixed.
