You star Shay Mitchell seemingly confirmed her bisexuality, and fans are freaking out.
On 5 October, the Pretty Little Liars talent took TikTok and stitched a video from a user who posed a question to their bisexual followers.
“If you identify as bisexual do you own a green velvet couch?” the TikToker asked. The video then switched over to another bisexual user with a green couch, stating: “I love knowing nothing in my life is original.
However, while the aforementioned video played, Mitchell plopped down on her own velvet green couch – which resulted in shocked reactions from her dedicated followers.
One fan wrote: “Are you saying what I think you’re saying?!?!?!”
Another fan commented: “Wait, wait. Why didn’t I know this important information before?”
Even the Human Rights Campaign commented on the post with heart emojis in the colour of the bisexual flag.
Mitchell’s eye-opening TikTok isn’t the first time she’s opened up about her queer identity.
Back in 2017, the Dollface star told Maxim that she doesn’t label her sexuality.
“People always ask me, ‘You play a gay character? Are you gay? Are you straight? Are you this? Are you that?'” she explained.
“Look, Emily doesn’t label herself, and I don’t label myself either. I fall in love with the spirit of somebody. Love is love, and that’s something that I’ll keep saying.”
Mitchell gave further insight into her sexuality four years later during a Pretty Little Liars YouTube Q&A with co-star Ian Harding.
When asked about the last time she was attracted to another woman, the 35-year-old replied: “Wow. Every day. For me, it’s never been ‘I need to find a boyfriend, I need to find this.
“I truly feel like I do fall in love with a person. I like the fact that I played Emily, and I liked the fact that I played Peach. I’m honestly more intrigued by women than I am by men.”
