Prime Video has released the hilarious blooper reel for Red, White & Royal Blue.
From Alex and Henry’s caketastrophe to their first smooch, as well as their staged interviews, the footage continues to show the undeniable chemistry between stars Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine.
“Their bloopers have better chemistry than most of the actors in TV series nowadays,” one fan joked in the YouTube comments section, while another opined that Red, White & Royal Blue is “the most perfectly casted movie”.
Fans also expressed their desire to see the actors in a sequel to the film or “another project”: “Would be awesome if we got sequels or even them acting in more movies and shows in the future.”
Red, White & Royal Blue was an enormous success for Prime Video upon release, becoming the number one movie worldwide on the streamer, as well as its third most successful rom-com ever.
Based on Casey McQuiston’s acclaimed novel of the same name, the film follows the romance between Alex (Zakhar Perez), the son of America’s first female president (Uma Thurman), and Henry (Galitzine), a British prince.
Red, White & Royal Blue received praise for its faithfulness to the source material and – as mentioned – the chemistry between Zakhar Perez and Galitzine.
The cast also includes Clifton Collins Jr., Sarah Shahi, Rachel Hilson, Stephen Fry, Ellie Bamber, Thomas Flynn, Malcolm Atobrah, Akshay Khanna, Sharon D Clarke, Aneesh Sheth and Juan Castano.
In an interview with GAY TIMES, director Matthew Lopez said he’s open to returning for a sequel “if it’s successful and people want more”.
Additionally, Lopez revealed that “everyone in the hair and makeup department” for the film pitched their ideas for a sequel, from “Red, White & Royal Wedding” to “Red, White & Royal Baby”.
