A wild new trailer has just been released for the highly-anticipated Saltburn.
Directed by Promising Young Woman‘s Emerald Fennell, the upcoming psychological thriller is described as a “beautifully wicked tale of privilege and desire” that finds Barry Keoghan obsessed with Jacob Elordi (we get it).
The synopsis reads: “Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick (Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten.”
Saltburn’s ensemble cast also includes Rosamund Pike as Elsbeth Catton, Richard E. Grant as Sir James Catton, Alison Oliver as Venetia Catton, ARchie Madekwe as Farleigh Start and Carey Mulligan as “Poor Dear” Pamela.
More stars incoming: Paul Rhys as Duncan, Lolly Adefope as Lady Daphne, Ewan Mitchell as Michael Gavey, Sadie Soverall as Annabel, Millie Kent as India and Reece Shearsmith as Professor Ware.
Saltburn premiered in August at the 50th Telluride Film Festival, before playing at the 67th BFI London Film Festival earlier this month. It is scheduled for release in the UK and Ireland on 17 November in cinemas.
The film has previously been described as a “queer thriller” as a result of Elordi and Keoghan’s homoerotic chemistry, which you can view in the trailer below, although quotes from the cast and crew and footage suggest otherwise (for now).
