“Gentlemen, restart your engines, RuPaul’s Drag Race seasons 2-7 are back!”
We are delighted to announce that seasons 2-7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race are back on Netflix UK.
The streaming service confirmed over the weekend that the Emmy Award winning series has been re-uploaded, tweeting: “Gentlemen, restart your engines, RuPaul’s Drag Race seasons 2-7 are back!”
All six seasons, which features fan-favourites contestants such as Raven, Jujubee, Raja, Manila Luzon, Sharon Needles, Jinkx Monsoon, Bianca Del Rio, Courtney Act, Adore Delano, Trixie Mattel and Katya, departed Netflix earlier this year (30 April).
It was met with widespread backlash from fans, who launched a petition, which eventually garnered over 25,000 signatures.
Does this mean we’ll be getting Untucked and All Stars? One can hope.
Last week, it was announced that VH1 will air a very special instalment titled Drag Race Holi-Slay Spectacular, which will bring together eight of the show’s favourite queens.
So who’s making a comeback to the main stage? Hold on to your wigs, because it’s one heck of a line-up.
Eureka O’Hara, Jasmine Masters, Kim Chi, Latrice Royale, Mayhem Miller, Shangela, Sonique, and Trixie Mattel will all be joining RuPaul for the festive frolics.
We can already see Shangie popping out of a Christmas-wrapped box.
We’ve been promised lip-sync performances of songs from RuPaul’s two festive albums Slay Belles and Christmas Party, along with more challenges perfect for Holiday Hunties.
Michelle Visage, Ross Matthews and Todrick Hall make the episode a family affair, as they help Mama Ru crown the very first Drag Race Christmas Queen.
Drag Race Holi-Slay Spectacular will air on VH1 at 8pm (ET).
We’ve yet to get an airdate (and network) for the UK broadcast, but you’ll know as soon as we do.
