Stepmom star Susan Sarandon seemingly confirmed her bisexuality in a new interview.
Throughout her expansive career in Hollywood, the Rocky Horror Picture Show actress has been a staunch supporter of LGBTQ+ rights.
Back in 2014, the Academy award winner showcased her support for gay marriage in the Human Rights Campaign’s advert titled, “Americans for Marriage Equality.”
“While marriage might not be my thing, if it’s your thing, you damn well ought to be able to have it equally and unequivocally,” she said in the video.
Alongside her dedicated support, Sarandon has even alluded to identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
During a 2017 interview with PrideSource, the 75-year-old revealed that her sexuality was “open.”
“Yeah, I’m open. My sexual orientation is up for grabs. I guess you could say,” she told the news outlet.
While Sarandon has remained relatively coy regarding her sexuality over the years, the beloved talent has recently confirmed where she falls within the community.
During her latest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the acting legend opened up about her dogs passing away.

“My little creatures all passed away. I can’t talk about it because I still get upset. It was about a year ago,” she explained. “I was feeling sad, and one of my sons said, or I said, ‘I can’t get another dog. I just can’t,’ and he said, ‘Well, get cats.'”
However in the middle of her story, Sarandon made a massive revelation about her sexuality when she said, “and I’m bi, so.'”
In response, Fallon asked the Thelma and Louise star if her statement was related to her equal love for dogs and cats.
“I’m fluid. I’m very fluid when animals are concerned. I’ve had cats before, then I had dogs, and now I have cats,” she added.
Shortly after the episode aired, fans of the Blue Beetle star took to social media to share their thoughts on her recent admission.
One Twitter user wrote: “Waking up to Susan Sarandon saying she’s bi with her whole chest, we never fucking lose.”
Another fan said: “Susan Sarandon being *officially* bi is the best thing to happen all year cuz… I mean, we didn’t know, but like we KNEW ya know, but now we KNOW know and my wildest Thelma and Louise dreams are coming back with a vengeance and I am THRILLED.”
