The Scooby Gang is back!
We are crying because the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off series Angel just reunited.
Alyson Hannigan (Willow), Amber Benson (Tara), Clare Kramer (Glory), Nicholas Brendon (Xander), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Julie Benz (Darla), James Marsters (Spike), Iyari Limon (Kennedy), Amy Acker (Fred), Alexis Denisof (Wesley) and James Leary (Clem) held a mini-reunion at Wizard World Portland on Sunday.
Unfortunately, series lead Sarah Michelle Gellar, Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Eliza Dushku (Faith), Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn), David Boreanaz (Angel), Seth Green (Oz) and Emma Caulfield (Anya) were not in attendance.
The legendary stars reunited on a panel to discuss the iconic fantasy drama with fans, and it occurred 16 years after the finale. Yep, can you believe it’s been 16 years since the Scooby Gang entered the Hellmouth and went to war with the Turok Han army? We’re feeling old…
Carpenter posted a photo to Instagram with the caption, “Demons and vampires and scoobies oh my!” while Brendon and Cleary uploaded several pictures and videos from the event. Series creator Joss Whedon joked on Twitter, “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?”

Buffy, which aired for a groundbreaking seven seasons from 1997-2003, is often referred to as one of the best TV shows in history, and its title character is also recognised as one of the most iconic female characters of all time.
The show influenced series such as True Blood, Charmed, Veronica Mars, Vampire Diaries, iZombie, Jessica Jones and pretty much anything fantasy related with a strong female heroine at the helm.
Buffy was also commended for its portrayal of gay characters, becoming the first ever television show to broadcast a lesbian sex scene. We recently rounded up the queerest moments from the series, which you can view here.
Back in 2017, the whole cast – minus Anthony Stewart Head and Eliza Dushku – reunited for a special photoshoot to mark the 20th anniversary. Watch here.
