The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal has showcased his support for the LGBTQ+ community with a heartfelt message.

On 5 March, the star took to Instagram and uploaded multiple photos of the Pride flag with the caption, “The answer my friend is blowin’ in the Wind. #LGBTQIA.”

Pascal’s inspirational caption comes from Bob Dylan’s hit track Blowin’ in the Wind – which has been used as a protest song for many civil rights groups.

In response to his heartwarming post, fans and his industry peers flocked to the comment section to praise him for his LGBTQ+ allyship.

His The Last of Us co-star, Bella Ramsey, wrote “Love Love Love” alongside various LGBTQ+ flag emojis.

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot echoed similar sentiments by uploading an array of heart and hand praise emojis.

Pascal also took his Instagram story with a clip of Jon Stewart eviscerating a GOP lawmaker over his anti-LGBTQ+ viewpoints and hypocrisy regarding gun control.

In addition to his recent posts, Pascal has consistently showcased his support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Back in 2021, The Mandalorian star used his platform to celebrate his transgender sister Lux by sharing her cover for the Spanish-language magazine Ya.

“Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux,” which translates to, “My sister, my heart, our Lux,” Pascal’s caption read.

In the feature, Lux revealed that her transition had been “natural” for everyone in the family because it’s “almost something that they expected to happen.”

She then praised Pascal for his continuous support, stating: ” [My brother has] been an important part of this. He’s also an artist and has served as a guide for me. He was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity.”

Pascal’s LGBTQ+ allyship has also been praised by Ramsey, who recently told GQ that they would have many meaningful conversations regarding gender and sexuality on the set of The Last of Us.

“They weren’t always deep: they could be funny and humourous, the whole spectrum. We were just very honest and open with each other,” she told the news outlet.

Lastly, the actor has expressed his support for Pride Month and the Black Trans Lives Matter movement in an array of social media posts.
