Watch Lady Gaga’s show-stopping Shallow performance at the Grammys

Lady Gaga stole the show at the Grammy Awards this year.

The pop superstar, who’s been riding high from the success of her role in critically-acclaimed film A Star Is Born, took to the stage at the high-profile ceremony on Sunday night to perform the film’s signature song, Shallow.

Introduced by Alicia Keys, who described her as “my sister”, Gaga opted to channel glam rock instead of her on-screen character Ally Maine as she appeared in a glittering bodysuit and blonde wig.

She also channeled that rock star energy into the performance, which saw her deliver a heavier version of the number one single with all the theatrics we’ve come to expect from Gaga.

Aside from the show-stopping performance, it was a successful night awards-wise for the singer, as Shallow earned her two accolades: Best Pop Duo Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media.

She also won Best Pop Solo Performance for Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Going’?), an acoustic version of the title track from her fifth studio album Joanne.

“A Grammy for Joanne is more than me & my family could ever dream of,” she tweeted.

“I sang that version in one take, & poured my entire life & soul into it. Thank you so much for this gift I am completely shocked. 2nd Grammy win of the night I am so overwhelmed by this kindness.”

It marked a female-dominated Grammy Awards which saw Kacey Musgraves win Album of the Year for Golden Hour, Ariana Grande take home Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener, and Dua Lipa win Best New Artist.

Dolly Parton and Diana Ross both awarded lifetime achievement prizes, while Cardi B became the first solo female to win Best Rap Album for her debut record Invasion of Privacy.
