They have won over millions of television viewers worldwide, they sell out theatres, shift loads of merch, and even pack massive venues for expansive conventions, and now YouTube have revealed that drag queens are starting to rule their platform too.
YouTube have reported a 43% increase in searches related to “Drag Queens” in the UK, showing a growing demand for video content that is fierce, fabulous and flawless.
Willam Belli – who competed in the fourth season of Drag Race – has been named the most-viewed drag channel on YouTube in the UK. Willam has over 888,000 subscribers.
Fellow Drag Race alum, Miz Cracker, is in second place with her own YouTube channel, which plays host to her popular video series Review with a Jew. Miz Cracker currently boasts over 201,000 subscribers.
It’s not all Drag Race talent winning over those views, however, with British drag couple Novympia in third place.

The duo – and real-life couple – is made up of Nova and Olympia, and they have so far amassed over 131,000 subscribers.
YouTube have also revealed that drag transformations are among some of their most popular content.
Former Gay Times Magazine cover star Patrick Starrr scored the UK’s most viewed drag transformation video on YouTube last year, getting 1.6 million views for their Jessica Rabbit Drag Makeup Transformation video.
When it comes to makeup tutorials, three of the top five videos were from former Drag Race contestants.
Pearl, Courtney Act and Miss Fame also scored massive views, along with MUA favourites James Charles and Arabia Felix.
The data captured for YouTube’s research was captured from January 2018 to December 2018.
