Drag Race legend Kennedy Davenport has revealed some major tea about All Stars 9.

On 17 May, Angeria Paris VanMichaels, Gottmik, Jorgeous, Nina West, Plastique Tiara, Roxxxy Andrews, Shannel and Vanessa Vanjie returned to our TV screens for the ninth season of the beloved Drag Race spin-off.

Like previous All Stars seasons, the queens have participated in various challenges – including the popular Snatch Game – for a chance at the crown and a coveted spot in the ‘Drag Race Hall of Fame’.

However, instead of taking home a cash prize, the contestants are fighting to receive a $200,000 charitable donation to an organisation of their choice – provided by The Palette Fund.

While the new batch of episodes has featured stunning looks, shocking moments and creative challenges, the talented cast almost looked a little different.

While attending a Roscoe’s Tavern viewing party for the All Stars 9 Rusical episode, Drag Race icon Kennedy revealed to the crowd that she was an alternate for the aforementioned season.

When season 16 queen Plasma joked about the producers sending her to Canada vs the World instead, the 41-year-old talent replied, “Yeah, because they knew I was mad.”

She added: “I said, ‘Oh, I’m not going to be on the show?’ [And they said] ‘Oh, we’re going to take you to Canada.’ [I said], ‘Oh, I’m not going to Canada… I need a guarantee, and I need to be guaranteed.

“I’m not going through all of this s**t for you to tell me I’m a damn alternate just in case somebody drops out. This is some bulls**t. But I was an alternate, yeah.”

Even though producers passed on featuring Kennedy in All Stars 9, her return to the Drag Race universe is right around the corner.

On 19 July, the second season of Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs the World will be making its way to Crave in Canada, BBC Three in the UK and WOW Presents Plus in other territories.

In addition to Kennedy, the new batch of episodes will feature Alexis Mateo (Drag Race US), Cheryl Hole (Drag Race UK), Eureka (Drag Race US), La Kahena (Drag Race France), Le Fil (Drag Race UK), Lemon (Canada’s Drag Race), Miss Fiercalicious (Canada’s Drag Race), and Tynomi Banks (Canada’s Drag Race).
