The new era of Drag Race Down Under has finally arrived.

Back in March, RuPaul shocked the fandom when she announced her departure from the Australian/New Zealand-based series.

“It has been my great honour to bring Drag Race to Australasia,” Ru told Entertainment Weekly.

In addition to stepping down, the ‘Cover Girl’ singer revealed that her long-time friend and collaborator Visage would be taking over as the new leading lady of Drag Race Down Under.

“I can’t wait to see the franchise continue to flourish under the leadership of the incredible Michelle Visage.”

Shortly after the news was announced, Visage confirmed her new role on her Instagram account, where she received an outpouring of support from her followers and Drag Race alums.

“Thank you, my dear @rupaulofficial , for entrusting me with one of your beloved shows. The color, humor and outrageousness of Down Under drag holds a special place in my heart,” Visage wrote in her caption.

“I’m ready to do everything in my power to encourage these beautiful queens to believe in themselves and let their inner light shine through.”

Since that fateful day, fans have eagerly awaited for new information regarding the Visage-led season.

Fortunately, on October 3, WOW Presents Plus shared the first poster of Drag Race Down Under season four, which featured the Seduction songstress officially taking over the Australian/New Zealand franchise.

“It’s her house now. #DragRaceDownUnder is back with a new host, the legendary [Michelle Visage]!” the caption read alongside a photo of Visage standing in front of a Barbie-inspired doll house.

While the announcement refrained from sharing an official release date, it confirmed that season four would be arriving very soon.

Shortly after the sickening poster was released, fans flocked to WOW Presents Plus’ X mentions to express their excitement for the new season.

One person wrote: “Wait this is so CVNTYYYYYYY!!!!!”

Another fan tweeted: “My bitch pose is NAASTY.”

A third fan added: “Omfggggg Michelle Visage has never looked better like that’s mother.”

Back in March, Visage split the tea with 9Entertainment about taking over the Down Under hosting duties from RuPaul.

“I feel very honoured that Ru has trusted me with her baby, and I am here to do the best job possible,” she exclaimed.

“Ru handed this franchise to me with kid gloves, with all the love in the world and all the hope.”

Visage also teased how season four will feature a couple of new elements not seen in prior seasons.

“So there are things obviously like ‘lip sync for your life’ that stay. But I’ll be doing all my own saying because that’s what Ru wants me to do and that’s what I should do. It’s me,” she explained.

“We’re just doing Drag Race Down Under the way you know it and love it. I’m just stepping into the host position. That’s really the only difference.”
