The first elimination on Drag Race Global All Stars has arrived, and it has left fans gooped and gagged.

On this week’s episode, RuPaul tasked the 12 talented internationals with bringing to life fashion lewks for a ball.

“And not just any ball. We are throwing the International Queen of Mystery ball. Your mission is to slay the runway in three drop-dead gorgeous looks,” she explained.

“Look number one: category is Boss Lady in Charge. Look number two: She-Vi Villain. And for look number three, International Queen Of Mystery. From scratch, you need to create a seductive spy look that is to ‘Die Another Day’ for.”

However, it wouldn’t be Drag Race without a small twist.

After revealing that the ladies could use their own accessories and heels, RuPaul announced that their looks must incorporate “mysterious drag droppings,” which included a red telephone, a flashlight and some green fabric.

Following Ru’s departure from the workroom, the queens waited no time, gathering their supplies and letting their creative juices flow.

Like past design challenges, some of the queens expressed difficulties with creating their looks, like Soa de Muse, who opened up about her not-so-great ball experience on Drag Race France.

“The ball in my season in France, that was a mess. I’m not a sewer. I don’t give a fuck about sewing. It’s a mental breakdown for me,” she explained in a confessional.

Halfway through the design challenge, Mama Ru interrupted the queens to “spy on their designs,” which was full of hilarious hijinks – including Tessa Testicle and Alyssa Edwards getting into an unplanned read-off.

After Ru noticed that Alyssa didn’t have any designs on her notepad, the latter revealed that she wanted to make an outfit that “commands a room when you walk in with your presence.”

Tessa then quipped: “But is the challenge presence or dress?”

Alyssa wasted no time with a reply, telling her Drag Race Germany sister that art is subjective and to worry about her “Miss Congeniality” design.

The next day, following a productive and chaotic sewing session, the ladies hit the main stage to take part in the first-ever International Queen Of Mystery ball.

Unsurprisingly, all of the international glamazons delivered unique and gagworthy looks that dazzled Ru, Michelle, Jamal Sims and guest judge/Fire Island star Matt Rogers.

After the queens sashayed, shantayed and panthered down the runway, the judges’ panel provided the contestants with their critiques – which saw Pythia and Alyssa earning high praise for all three of their respective looks.

While the judges deliberated, the contestants went to untuck in the workroom. Things took a tense turn when Athena Sorgelikis was asked who should be in the bottom.

“I would take you, Tessa. I’m sorry. This dress is shit,” she exclaimed. “You just put fabric on a corset you had, the bra you had, and a skirt you had.”

Tessa, who was confident that she wouldn’t be placed in the bottom, refuted Athena’s critiques, replying: “No, let’s not do that. I pieced together a corset and a skirt, and that takes a lot of craftsmanship.”

In the end, Ru named Pythia the winner of the maxi-challenge before announcing Athena and Soa as the bottom two queens of the week.

Using the traditional Drag Race elimination format, the two talents were tasked with lip syncing for their life to Olivia Rodrigo’s iconic track ‘bad idea right?’

While Soa and Athena laid it all out on the stage, delivering twists, turns, dips and drama, Ru asked the former to stay and the latter to sashay away.

“I think I’m going to cry. And I’m walking to the exit door like a supermodel,” Athena said in her exit confessional.

Since the episode’s release, fans have flocked to social media to share their disbelief over Athena’s elimination.

One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “I refuse to believe she got eliminated for this idgaf.”

Another fan echoed similar sentiments, writing: “Hated the lipsync, hated the song they used for the lipsync, hated that they put Athena in the bottom 2, hated the judging, the only correct thing was the winner of the episode.”

A third viewer tweeted: “Athena and Miranda, I’m sorry I wasn’t your judge.”

On next week’s episode of Drag Race Global All Stars, the queens will be performing in three girl groups.
