It only took 1,000 years to get here, but it’s time to break out of the black and embrace the speedos – your summer body is ready to be shown off!

It’s been countless hours in the gym, switching between leg day to look like a peach in your speedos and arm day so you look like you can crush things (an attractive trait, apparently) and now it’s here, it’s the sun and you’re… completely unprepared. Go figure.

We’re bringing you the swimwear, beach towels and adorable beach bags to wear this summer, whether you’re a speedos or shorts boy or just wanna go as nature intended on a cute towel.

Tie waist swim shorts

It’s a classic. It’s cute. It’s easy, breezy beautiful, covergirl. All that jazz.

Go for a retro printed pair of a strong block colour and you can pretty much just take a couple of pairs for the whole trip. Pair this seasons styles with an open camp-collar shirt and some classic round Ray Bans for that ‘Call Me By Your Name’ look – peach optional.

Smarter options that have adjustable waists and just one button rather than a tie waist look smarter and will work better from beach to bar. Pair them with a printed shirt if you opt for a block colour and a white camp-collar shirt if you go for a printed style.

The Orlebar Brown pairs are our favourite and will look perfect with crisp white linen.

Swim briefs are always a good option.

Classic black will open up your outfit options and allow you to wear bright coloured accessories or head for a brighter option such as the neon Versace pair and pair them with a white shirt and panama hat.

Towels may seem like an afterthought but they don’t have to be dull.

Unless your hotel provides them because you’re fancy af then go for something that’s bright and minimal. The graphic Hugo Boss one is our favourite and will let people at the beach know that you’re a stylish motherf**ker.

Bag it all up in a stylish tote.

Straw totes are very in at the moment and can work equally well from the beach to the city if they’re smart enough (and not sporting pom poms) or go for a simple canvas tote in an updated print that you can throw everything in to.
