Now this is how a company celebrates same-sex love!
Suitsupply, a global men’s tailoring brand founded in 2000 by Fokke de Jong in Amsterdam, have unveiled the imagery for their Spring/Summer 2018 campaign, and it puts the spotlight firmly on gay male couples.
The campaign will be on display in nearly 100 stores across 22 countries, and is currently at the forefront of their website, which Jong admits could have a “negative impact” on business in locations where LGBTQ people aren’t accepted.
“The attraction between people is an important part of fashion advertising,” he explains. “A campaign featuring the attraction between men was long overdue and particularly relevant for our brand.”
Meanwhile, the new collection, which is available now in stores and online, features linen cotton blended suits, checked jackets, lightweight bombers and introduces brand new colours to their Traveller range.
Last year, Suitsupply’s sister company Suistudio, which tailors suits for women, went viral with its bold campaign featuring powerful women using faceless naked men as props, flipping traditional gender roles in advertising on their head.
