We’re hitting the festive season at full speed with bells on.
So we’re looking at those new places to try this Christmas season; from our favourite store to buy the coolest gifts to the best place to escape pre-festive madness.
___________
WHERE TO SHOP – Modern Society, Shoreditch
Tucked back on the adorable Redchurch Street sits our new favourite store, Modern Society. Packed full of independent brands, interior gems and some of the best jewellery for gifting, it’s a one-stop shop for those uber-fashionable people in your life that seemingly have everything. Plus they have a super cute coffee shop where you can caffeinate and watch the world go by post-shopping.
___________
WHERE TO EAT – Bingham Riverhouse, Richmond
You get to a point when you live in London where you feel like you’ve been to pretty much every restaurant three times over (quite a feat for one of the biggest foodie cities in the world). Alas, enter Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond, the 15 bedroom hotel and restaurant that sits right on the river. Their fabulous Christmas menu is the perfect excuse to leave central London and experience some festive magic riverside.
___________
WHERE TO GETAWAY – Ye Olde Bell, Nottinghamshire
If Christmas in the city isn’t the one for you then an escape to the country is definitely a winning option. Located on the borders of Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, Ye Olde Bell provides the perfect festive retreat. Their ‘Christmas House Party’ package offers the ultimate escape including arriving to tea and freshly baked scones, a 3 course Christmas eve dinner, spending Christmas morning in their incredible spa before tucking in to a lunch with all the trimmings, before discovering the adorable neighbouring villages for a post-spa walk on boxing day.
___________
WHAT TO DRINK – Real Kombucha
Need an amazing non-alcoholic alternative this season? Enter Real Kombucha. Their Royal Flush has been compared to Champagne so a great drink for celebration without the booze. Available in bars and restaurants throughout the UK or check out their website for recipes on how to make the best cocktails yourself at home this winter.
___________
WHERE TO STAY – Kings Arms Hotel, Hampton Court
If you’re looking to stay a little closer to home but still get that feeling of a festive getaway then the Kings Arms hotel in Hampton Court is the perfect spot. With views across the famed maze at the Palace, enjoy a walk around the palace and it’s expansive gardens before returning to their restaurant ‘The Six’ for a meal designed by Michelin Star head chef Mark Kempson and then heading up for a luxurious snooze.
