Anti-LGBTQIA+ figure Corey DeAgnelis has broken his silence on his history as a gay adult film star.

On 24 September, the conservative author – who is best known for targeting public school funding and spouting anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric – made headlines when he was exposed for his alleged involvement in gay porn, specifically the website GayHoopla.

According to LGBTQ Nation, DeAngelis filmed two videos in 2014 under the name “Seth Rose,” which included one solo scene and a group masturbation scene.

It didn’t take long for the revelation to spread like wildfire on social media, with many LGBTQIA+ activists and allies calling out the self-proclaimed “school choice evangelist” for his hypocrisy.

“Corey DeAngelis is yet another public figure whose anti-LGBTQ extremism already makes him deeply unqualified to be an expert in improving safety and education at school,” GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis told The Advocate in a statement.

“The latest news on DeAngelis further reveals his baseless, hypocritical attempt to profiteer and score political points. The real threat is from people who have propped him up and their Project 2025 blueprint for a government takeover that would demolish the Department of Education and refuse to recognize rising LGBTQ visibility and acceptance across society.”

DeAngelis was also placed on leave and later fired from his senior fellow position at the conservative nonprofit American Federation for Children.

Weeks after his videos resurfaced, DeAngelis finally confirmed his gay porn past during an interview on the conservative Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).

“There are images and videos circulating of me from my college days about a decade ago that I’m not proud of. They’re embarrassing. I’m nude in those videos and pictures,” he said.

While DeAngelis admitted to filming the gay adult content, it didn’t take long for him to downplay the hypocrisy claims and label the resurfaced videos as a “cancellation attempt.”

“There’s been a cancellation attempt from the left in particular, and my political opponents trying to accuse me of hypocrisy. Their claims fall flat,” he said.

DeAngelis went on to describe the industry as “deceptive,” stating that he went into it intending to be a “fitness model” but was “lured” into making the adult videos.

Lastly, the conservative author told CBN that he “changed his life” before alleging that he’s been “consistent” in fighting against material – like his GayHoopla videos – from being included in the K-12 education system.

“I don’t want this kind of material to be in front of children in the K-12 education system before they are consenting adults. If I was able to be lured in to make bad decisions as a young adult in college, just imagine how much worse it could be for younger people. I fought against this kind of material being included in the classroom. I’ve been consistent,” he claimed.

Unsurprisingly, there has yet to be any evidence that shows the inclusion of adult films/content in the K-12 education system.

Before his recent gay porn scandal, DeAngelis earned a reputation for slamming public schools, especially in regards to their support of LGBTQIA+ students.

During a May interview with Fox News, he claimed that public schools were trying to “indoctrinate” children and are more focused on “the LGBTs than the ABCs.”

DeAngelis has also contributed to the extremely conservative political initiative Project 2025, which the ACLU has described as a “manual for reorganizing the entire [US] government agency by agency to serve a conservative agenda.”
