A new podcast from AiAi studios capturing the experiences of LGBTQ+ and POC individuals at this year’s UK Black Pride has launched its first episode.
UK Black Pride: A Time Capsule podcast was recorded at the 2022 summer event and spotlights a number of individuals who attended the celebration.
In its first episode, we revisit the roots of UK Black Pride with co-founder Lady Phyll, who discusses the iconic coach trip to Southend on Sea that started it all.
Throughout the series, you’ll also hear from festival-goers at UK Black Pride 2022 who share their feelings on the annual gathering that holds space for thousands of LGBTQ+ people of the Black and Asian diasporas.
Once all eight episodes have been published, the series tapes will be sealed in a capsule and buried for future generations in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, where UK Black Pride takes place.
New episodes will be available to listen every Tuesday and can be found on all major podcast platforms.
UK Black Pride: A Time Capsule is proudly supported by GAY TIMES. Find out more about UK Black Pride here and AiAi Studios here.
