Pulitzer Amsterdam, an art-deco style bar, has introduced three new cocktails inspired by the scent Le Labo Santal 33.
As part of a new experimentation, guests at Pulitzer’s Bar will be invited to touch and smell the perfume’s raw ingredients, before choosing a drink.
The new cocktails, which reflect the three most significant and long-lasting notes in Santal 33 (cardamom, violet and leather) are as follows:
Cardamom Ophir spiced gin, rosemary syrup, grapefruit juice, cardamom bitters
Violet Floral gin, mandarin & calamansi shrub, violet liquor, egg white, soda
Leather Bourbon, Amontillado Sherry, Disaronno Amaretto, aromatic leaf bitters and edible leather (cherries, green olives, lavender, sugar)
Head bartender, Andrei Talapanescu, commented: “You can smell Santal 33 everywhere you go in the hotel, it’s truly a scent that envelopes Pulitzer, and guests find it comforting and familiar.
“It felt only right to develop this partnership further and explore other senses; we’re excited to have created a collection of entirely unique cocktails.”
Le Labo is one of the most selective perfume brands in the world and is based on a unique, freshly handmade concept – and what better place to experience it than in one of Amsterdam’s chicest neighbourhoods.
The new cocktail menu will run from the end of November until the end of January 2018, priced at €15 per cocktail.
