A community of men who call themselves ‘NoFappers’ abstain from masturbation in order to conserve a special kind of energy.
Over 200,000 men have subscribed to the group, who claim that cutting out porn, sex, and masturbation from your daily life can help you “seize control of your sexuality and turn it into superpowers.”
It’s part of a new type of lifestyle that aims to combat being addicted to pornography, dating apps like Grindr, and too much sex.
At the moment they are currently undergoing New Life November (also known as No Nut November), where they challenge subscribers to abstain from masturbation for the entire month.
You do have three strikes, though.
The “superpowers” the men who take part claim they gain from doing so include a boost in confidence, increased sexual interest from others, being more at ease in social situations, and feeling more creative.
“I’m a recovering Grindr addict,” 32-year-old Texan, Alex, told GSN. “Every day, even at work, I was scrolling through looking for the next guy.
“If I couldn’t find one, I would masturbate.”

He added: “Every day it was non-stop, and I realised that I was wasting my life. What was I doing? I had goals, and I was wasting it.”
Alex then claimed that he wanted to learn a new language, and as soon as he stopped masturbating and focussed his energy elsewhere, he’s now on his way to learning several.
“Ever since I stopped going on dating apps, I feel a lot happier,” he said. “I decided whenever I wanted to jerk off I would study Spanish.
“Now I’m nearly fluent.”
Elsewhere, 26-year-old Brian has claimed that after giving up masturbation for 40 days, he was more attractive to other guys.

“I actually got inspired to give up jerking off after not drinking for a month,” he explained.
“I thought if I had the will-power to not drink, I could look at other areas of my life which had gotten out of control.
“So I decided to go for a week, and then a month. My record is 40 days.
“It definitely helps to give me more focus and energy, and I reckon it makes me more attractive to guys.”
Scientists have reported that moderate masturbation is healthy, and that men who look after themselves regularly in that department are less at risk of prostate cancer.
It can also help men get to sleep, and eases feelings of anxiety and stress.
