Dua Lipa has released her highly anticipated single, ‘Dance the Night’, from the upcoming ‘Barbie’ movie and fans are all saying the same thing – they love it.

The song, which was first heard in the film’s official trailer, sees Dua team up with regular collaborators Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt and Caroline Ailin.

Its accompanying music video is wonderfully camp and perfectly fits in the world of ‘Barbie’, with Dua strutting through hot pink sets dressed in pieces from her co-designed Versace collection.

Fans of the three-time Grammy Award-winning pop star have since taken to social media to show their love for ‘Dance the Night’.

“She’s really the popstar of this generation,” one wrote, “oh dua lipa the mother that you are.”

Another added: “Definitely no one in the Barbie movie soundtrack is beating Dua Lipa’s dance the night idk.”

A third fan said the “replay-ability of this song is dangerous”.

A fourth declared that ‘Dance the Night’ is “everything” they wanted it to be.

“An infectious, uplifting, sugary, dance-tastic bop!! I am OBSESSED!” they said.

‘Barbie’ is one of the year’s most highly anticipated films and features a number of openly LGBTQ+ stars, including Kate McKinnon, Hari Nef, Scott Evans and Alexandra Shipp.

“After being expelled from Barbieland for being a less than perfect-looking doll, Barbie sets off for the human world to find true happiness,” the official synopsis states.

Barbie will be released in the US and the UK on 21 July 2023 and you can see how other fans reacted to Dua’s new song below.
