“As a privileged queer person, I feel it is important that I am as loud as possible.”
Girl in Red, in partnership with Fender, has created a one-of-a-kind Fender Player Series electric guitar.
The guitar is self-painted by Girl in Red, covered in the iconic Pride flag colours. The Fender has been put up for grabs through a raffle auction, with 100% of the proceeds going to Kaleidoscope Trust.
Kaleidoscope works to uphold the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in countries around the world, where they are discriminated against or marginalised due to their sexual orientation, gender identity and/or gender expression.
“As a privileged queer person, I feel it is important that I am as loud as possible,” said Girl in Red.
“Music can create an incredible and safe space for those who need it the most and this feels like an authentic way I can help others in the community.”
The winner of the raffle will receive the exclusive electric Telecaster® guitar and three months free guitar lessons via Fender Play, giving them all of the tools they need to create their own sound.
Entries close Sunday 2 August at 23:59.
