‘Fat Funny Friend’ breakout star Maddie Zahm has announced her new single ‘Where Do All The Good Kids Go?’
The American singer has built a die-hard following for her candid lyrics on identity, body dysmorphia and growing up in a religious environment.
On her new single, the LA-based artist breakdown her transition from church to up-and-coming musician.
“‘Good Kids’” is a bridge from the EP to the album in order to set my listeners up for the journey that comes with owning your truth. When I left the church and moved to the city I realised I had absolutely no preparation for the real world,” she explains. “Good Kids” serves as a question that hopefully, through these twelve songs is eventually answered. A messy, beautiful introduction to a messy, beautiful journey.’”
Zahm’s newly announced project is a 12-song release that unpacks everything from church trauma, queer sexual encounters to what it’s like to be a good kid all grown up.
Now That I’ve Been Honest is Zahm as you’ve never seen her before. A mixture of dance beats and gentle ballads, the singer’s diaristic lyricism is for fans of Carlie Hanson, Halsey, and Ethel Cain.
