Drag Race legend Eureka has addressed her future with the franchise.
Although the self-described “Elephant Queen” wrote on X/Twitter that she’s “done competing” and “ready to live”, she recently told GAY TIMES that there’s one series that could force her out of retirement.
“If I’m ready, I think I would do Global [All Stars] because I appreciate all the franchises,” she revealed.
“But, I just wanna make sure I’m in a place where I’m financially secure and safe, and I’m emotionally in a place where I won’t go in feeling like I have more of a story to tell.
“Going into Canada vs the World, I really did have this idea of, ‘I’m excited to do this because / I wanna talk about this.’ It would be nice to go into a season without that pressure, maybe.”
Eureka continued to share that her dream would be to appear on a “plus-size All Stars” with “all the legends to celebrate the big girls”.
“Normally there’s one a season, so what if we had ten or eleven? It would be drama. It would be cunty,” she said. “Also, it could be “THE BIGGEST COMPETITION YET”. The PR would be great.”
Eureka memorably made her Drag Race debut in season nine, where she competed against drag heavyweights such as Shea Couleé, Sasha Velour, Trinity the Tuck, Peppermint and Alexis Michelle.
Eureka was forced to withdraw from the competition after injuring her knee in episode two’s cheerleading battle, which led to RuPaul extending an invitation for season 10.
During the season, which was won by Aquaria, Eureka won two consecutive maxi-challenges, made herstory with two double shantays and sashayed away as a runner-up.
She joined an elite group of Drag Race contestants with a third and fourth attempt at the crown on All Stars 6 and Canada vs the World season two, where she respectively placed joint runner-up and sixth.
Outside of the franchise, Eureka has made various guest appearances as an actor in shows such as AJ and the Queen, American Horror Story: Double Feature, Love, Victor and The L Word: Generation Q.
Between 2020-2022, Eureka received praise for her role in HBO’s We’re Here, which followed the star and fellow Drag Race veterans Bob the Drag Queen and Shangela as they travelled across the U.S. to recruit residents in small towns for drag shows.
The series was met with overwhelming acclaim, winning a Peabody Award and four Primetime Emmy Awards.
Eureka told GAY TIMES that she’s more focused on pursuing her acting career, and is currently starring in Discoshow Vegas, “which I’m very proud to be part of”.
