LGBTQ+ streaming platform Froot.TV has announced a new competition series, Sew Fierce, that will showcase the craft of drag in all its glory.
Eight designers will compete against each other in weekly challenges to create new looks in the hopes of taking home a cash prize of $10,000 if they win the season.
Each week, the contestants will be tasked with making a look based on a theme before completing a photoshoot to showcase it on an up-and-coming drag artist.
The judges will then evaluate the garments based on their appearance and construction before eliminating a designer.
Hosted by Barbada De Barbardes, Jaime Lujan (also known as Lucinda Miu) will serve as the design mentor.
“The creativity of the contestants exemplifies the drag spirit and talent within the community,” Barbada told GAY TIMES. “Each one of the designers brought their own stories and experiences to each of their designs and I can’t wait to show the world their talent in all its glory.”
Guest appearances on the show include Evan Clayton, Priyanka, NIQ van der Aa, Spikey Van Dykey, Chad Hurst, Kiki Coe, Stephanie Benadetto and The Villbergs.
GAY TIMES can exclusively confirm that the new season, which will be made up of eight episodes, will premiere on 14 April in the UK.
