A deleted scene from 9-1-1 season seven has given a glimpse into Buck and Tommy’s future, and fans are freaking out.

Throughout the show’s seventh outing, the Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear-created series blessed LGBTQIA+ fans with an abundance of queer-led stories – including Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley (Oliver Stark) coming out as bisexual.

The exciting moment took place in the fourth episode (‘Buck, Bothered and Bewildered’), which featured the fan-favourite character sharing an (unexpected) intimate moment with former firefighter and LAFD Air Operations pilot Tommy (Lou Ferrigno Jr.).

Following the monumental episode, Buck continued to explore his sexuality, coming out to his family and best friend Edmundo ‘Eddie’ Diaz (Ryan Guzman), in addition to developing a closer romantic bond with Tommy.

Since the season seven finale – which aired on 30 May – ABC has treated fans to an array of bonus content on Instagram, including a deleted scene seemingly teasing the future of Tommy and Buck’s relationship.

In the clip, Hen (Aisha Hinds) and Karen (Tracie Thomas) are shown cornering Tommy – who’s carrying a piece of cake – at the LAFD Medal of Valor Ceremony.

“So, where are you going with this?” Karen asks before Hen clarifies, “We mean, where are you going with Buck?”

After realising that the married couple were asking about his budding romance with Buck and not his piece of cake, Tommy revealed that they were taking their relationship “very slow”.

“In fact, I’m letting him set the pace, and I’m just trying to keep up,” he added.

While the scene was very brief, it was an instant hit with fans who expressed excitement over the development of Buck and Tommy’s romance.

One fan in the comment section wrote: “Heck yes!! I LOVE Tevan together. I also really like how Tommy said he’s just trying to keep up. Pretty sure we all know what that means! Tevan endgame please, Tim!”

Another fan echoed similar sentiments, writing: “Cute and sassy teasing and heavy innuendo. That’s Lesbian/Gay solidarity right there.”

A third fan added: “This makes me so happy! I’m loving Tommy, and I love this pairing!”

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long for more Buck and Tommy content, with the eighth season of 9-1-1 starting on 26 September.
