Hit LGBTQ+ romance drama Heartstopper’s second season has finished filming, Netflix confirmed on 2 December.
The series, which is based on a graphic novel of the same name, was an absolute hit when released earlier this year.
Netflix announced a second and third series were in the pipeline soon after.
The series follows a growing romance between two teenage schoolboys.
One of the characters, Nick Nelson, realises his bisexuality through this developing relationship.
The series ends with him coming out to his mother (played by Olivia Colman) and her supportive reaction.

The actor playing Nick, Kit Connor, recently came out on Twitter, describing how he felt ‘forced’ to break the news due to pressure from fans accusing him of ‘queerbaiting’.
Netflix has revealed a number of new characters will join the cast for the upcoming new season.
The cast of Heartstopper were recently awarded the ‘Onscreen Trailblazer’ accolade at the GAY TIMES Honours, just one example of critical acclaim for the show’s nuanced and empathetic depiction of young LGBTQ+ lives.
