HBO Max has released new images from Titans season four that hints at Robin’s potential new boyfriend.
Back in 2021, DC Comics shocked fans when Tim Drake, aka the third Robin, was introduced as bisexual in Batman: Urban Legends #6.
In the issue, which was written by Meghan Fitzmartin and illustrated by Belén Ortega, Drake wrestles with his sexuality while attempting to rescue his old friend Bernard – who was unexpectedly kidnapped by villains before their planned dinner.
After a tense fight and brief soul-searching monologue, the young hero concludes that he is, in fact, bisexual – which results in him asking out Bernard on an official date.
During the third season of HBO Max’s Titans, the third boy wonder (Jay Lycurgo) finally made his debut in the DC Extended Universe.
While Tim’s inaugural season mainly focused on his integration into the superhero group, viewers have been clamouring for the series to explore his sexuality in the upcoming fourth season.
Fortunately for fans, the show’s creatives have seemingly confirmed that the hero’s comic book bisexuality will also be canon in the new batch of episodes.

During New York Comic Con, HBO Max released new images from season four that features Tim connecting with a live-action version of Bernard – who will be played by Fire Island star James Scully.
However unlike his comic book counterpart, Bernard is described as the “Director of Special Projects at STAR Labs” who deals with “big personalities.”
In a statement to TV Insider, Titans showrunner Greg Walker gave further insight into the character and his mysterious connection with Tim.
“Bernard will work side-by-side with the Titans as they battle the dark forces of Metropolis. [Eventually] growing close to Tim and putting himself in danger along the way,” he said.
While the exact details surrounding Tim and Bernard’s relationship have been kept under wraps, fans have already expressed their excitement for the character’s possible queer romance.
One fan tweeted: “Stop Tim and Bernard?? Bi Tim in Titans confirmed I’m screaming.”
Another viewer wrote: “HBO Titans is giving us Tim and Bernard???? Why do I keep winning!!!!”
