WANÅS HOTEL.
A few years back, architect Kristina Wachtmeister inherited an estate located outside the village of Knislinge and converted its 18th-century farmhouse into a beautiful 11-room hotel.
The hotel takes the original name of the estate and has been lovingly renovated with natural materials – sustainable oak sourced from the estate forest and limestone floors, vintage tile, and made to measure and foraged furniture. Wachtmeister’s understated interiors sits somewhere between historic and contemporary, with a perfectly Swedish touch.
